All the latest News & Info on what were doing to Factions
by TheeLord » Wed May 13, 2015 3:07 am
Just stopping in to say hi and to let everyone know that progress is moving forward well with Factions. We are working on AI, flora / fauna spawning, Content, player stats, and of course, lots and lots of bug fixing. I snapped a quick screenshot today while I was testing some new trees and rocks we just put in game. =)

It's been a long time coming, but we are getting close to limited, closed testing.

lol! nice Speaking of which... one of our planned features is to have muscle mass and body fat change with a user's stats. So a player who has low endurance / strength compared to their other stats will look pudgy. Those who only do manual labor and physical combat will look more buff

all those diaries still apply and can be commented on as do all the questions of the week etc. the more input we get from people the more we get a picture of what the ultimate sandbox will be and the more can adapt our the game to stick within our ideal vision and the players ideals

Soon tm.... but seriously we plan on starting another alpha test soon, we may even attempt one of those crowdfunding things to help us devote more time to developing. would that be a good thing or a bad thing ? would it put you off ? what makes it look good ? what features did you like ? is there anything you dont like ?

I know I'm not the person in question, but I feel a crowd funding would be great for the project (publicity and income). Since I've been involved with a few, and have seen many go down, I do have a few suggestions. Physical merchandise of any kind is usually an issue, since it requires you pay for materials, pay somebody to make it, pay for shipping, and have to devote a ton of time doing so. Usually there's plenty of things you can "sell" ingame (credits, name-an-item, create-an-enemy, et cetera). I'd also suggest you all do your research on the site, since I know many take more than their due cut from the profits. But in terms of being a community member, I see nothing wrong with that happening. If anything for us, it means a more active forum!
